More Kitties - Tully and Jerry the Brothers Chaos

Elegance and beauty ... yeah sure...
At least they like each other:

Mostly...
And I caught the sundown at the Autobahn.

( Drama after the cut )
The best distraction was Gaming all night long. Our S.E.R. (Space Emergency Rescue) Team followed an anciently coded distress call to the UES Cassandra that had been lost in Hyperspace more than 500 Years earlier. It was nice to be someone else for a while, someone larger than life. Doc Nô is an intelligent, caring and sometimes wise being with huge fangs and claws and great fur.
In the very end we met some of the people we saved five days after we left and 500 years after we saw them last... Blessed time travel stories need a lot attention...

A friend asked me to take some pictures of the green areas that separate lanes and walkways on one of the big crossroads.
I used the excuse for a little trip into the city to try out my new camera.
To my surprise I found beautiful mini parks that were anything but green, but rather artful stone-and-scrub-landscapes.

I love the hidden
manhole.
Two more behind the link
The sun was already pretty low when I set out and on my way to my very favorite tea shop the light had taken on a magical quality.
Is was fun to walk though the town in the dusky light and buying chistmasy things.
An nice, big and inexpensive bag for me, huge amounts of tea, an advent calendar for my nephew
and a lot of gingerbread, or German Lebkuchen, for the lyorn and me.
On the way back the light got even more beautiful:

I stood there quite a while watching people pass me by.
The time here was very relaxing and I really managed to catch up on my sleep. Tomorrow morning we head back.
The other journey today brought strange and funny stuff.
15 Things worth knowing about coffee
17 Things worth knowing about your cat
How to use an Apostrophe
and
8 ways to prepare your pet for war

I just read todays entry of a friends blogg. A stich in time is a wonderful blog about "Togs from bogs and other dirty laundry from medieval times!"
Today she wrote about her knitting experiences - funny too - and I only had to think about my own experiences with knitting and crochetting wich ended with something like this...

And of course I wanted to comment on the page... Well people who CAN write are better of than those that can't...
And of course I realize the mistakes the minute I send the text off - and of course there is no way to edit the thing...
Note to self: Read before post
I planned on working out today, but the cats kept me up for much to long. The Bothers Chaos were running around, jumping about and were scavenging for food noisily. The tabby was cleaning the table and some plasticy noise drove me from the warmth of my sleeping pace to investigate. I had to take a small piece of the potato chips package (mature cheddar cheese and red onions) form him as he was trying to eat it.
Absolutely NO, food is save from them!
Note to self: Play with cats until they are exhausted for a good nights sleep!
On the other hand the other one allowed himself to be pettet and enjoying it quite obivousely.

And now I am going to prepare for a Blue Planet Adventure...
Note to self: Next time pack your Story notes...

Yesterday I was told off for not updating this Blogg-O'-Mine...
I'm am ashamed... really. It's not ven that there is nothing new of interest, but the Real Life kinda got the better of me... and plain laziness. To be honest I had suffered from a bad case of insomnia for a few weeks wich made every thing extra hard - especially for my love and my friends.
I promise to behave better :)
Sonn there will be a new Teaser for our Movie. I have started my own business as a web designer. And yeah, there is a real live boy-friend (still amazes me).
At the moment I am at the lyorns place helping with the teen cats, wich are adorable but, as the lyorn said, intangible.

Sweet...
Some pieces from the internet I wanted to share with you:
Grizzly Bear Eats Airplane in Alaska
Sounds like an Episode from Northern Exposure (Ausgerechnet Alaska)... AND it proofs that duct tape is like the force: "It has a dark side and a light side and it holds the universe together!"
Amazing and beautiful kitchen photographs
Okay the title is miss-leading, but well.. just take a look...

Today my boyfriend stumbled over a creature called the Armadillo Lizard.
I think they are the most dragon like creatures I have ever seen. They have a most peculiar defense mechanism which might be one of the sources of the Ouroboros myth.
Aren't they marvelous?

Yeah!! We did it!! The new Trailer is finally finished.
I really love the music.
There is a Gag Reel lurking on Freeports computer which will follow soon - I hope.
What else?
Surprisingly I discovered, that a boyfriend can be actually very helpful in getting work done. He throws me out of bed in the morning, sees that I get rest, makes dinner, drags me away from the computer and does the shoping. And of course I actually do work.
Though yesterday proofed quite frustrating because I discovered that HP-scanners don't work with tablet PCs. Which would not be a problem if my "collapsible computer" would not think of itself as tablet-PC because of the Wacom... And it seems that the scanner-software seems to cause interference with Gimp (which I am trying to teach myself) making the mouse (and pen) absolutely useless... gah.
Well, there is still warranty on the scanner, maybe I can change it for a different product...
See you soon ^^

Yes we are back on track with our movie, as well.
We had a string of very bad luck. Mostly in regard to the weather. We needed really bright sunshine for the last takes that were missing for the second teaser.
Finally last Sunday it worked out. Bright sunlight and everyone was healthy and there. It went surprisingly well. After 2 hours we had the choreography down pat. We figured out how to move the cart and me in a wonderful semi-circle around the actor. We worked concentrated and in a light mood. An absolutely wonderful day - And it worked out. The pictures, I was told, look absolutely great.

That's me working with our high-tech dolly.

I love this perspective - very dramatic.

Look! A dragon!
Great Photos by Just-A-Racoon.

First of all sorry for dropping out of sight like this.
A lot has happened in the last Months.
I am going to start my own business as a web designer. That means a whole lot of work. I took a course in web-design.
I had two very nice visitors.
Fantastic RPG adventures.
Real Live fights with the ARGE.
I took the LCCI test. And after passing the test with distinction I have now a C1 level certificate for the English language. For all the good THAT will do...
I started writing a Sci-Fi story, which kind of got out of hand... might be a novel in progress ;)
I started research on MMPORGGs, because I wanted to apply for a level designer job, that didn't actually exist. The game however is very entertaining, and for a while I spent much to much time in the virtual reality.
Within the virtual reality I met a real person an fell in love, hard and fast. It surprised me more than anyone. He came to visit last weekend, and we really hit it of right from the beginning. It feel weird, and strange and wonderful. Oh, well I guess most of you have been in love - I am pleasantly surprised.
Today I had an idea for a recipe, which I think turned out quite nicely.

Another Sunday without movie action. This time it was me that got sick. Well, the Raccoon is still not quite up and running as well.
Everyone else is either on stage, working or in pre-test stress.
And when I say I got sick I mean really really sick. If you really want to know follow this useful little link and enter A 09, but be warned it is in German and it is not pretty.
What annoys me most is that I have been looking forward to this weekend. On Friday I would actually been able to afford to go and see our very own evil Immortal Kuras playing Granny Weatherwax in an adaption of Terry Prattchets Weird Sisters on stage (last chance to see). And on Saturday MiouQueuing I had invited me to her Birthday Brunch. On Thurstday evening she had told me about all the wonderful exotic things she had planned to make and i had offered to come over to help her on Friday. And missed seeing Needleblade again exept when he, Miou and the Racoon came over the carefully hand me some necessities.
I have been wanting to show his newest picture here for a while now. Check out his amazing artwork.

Our Movie Sunday wasn't because everyone is sick. Even though I thought I was the only one still healthy I got knocked over by the first serious migraine in two years or more. I guess my lifestyle is catching up with me...
After two incredibly painfully wasted days. I wasted this one as well because I was totally exhausted. I am annoyed and feel betrayed by my body.... and let us not talk about money.
Well at least one of us was productive and we got some fantastic music by our composer J___ for our new action reel.
Enjoy:
I am not yet happy with my camera work but I am definitely getting there.
Tomorrow I'll start working on the storyboard for the Mini-feature we plan to shoot next Sunday.

Because today is Monday and I will talk about our movie, as promised.
Actually there isn't much to tell. The Raccoon and I met yesterday to discuss a story for a mini movielet that is supposed to give us some experience at operating a camera in close quarters and indoor lighting.
She will send me the list of scenes and I will make a tiny storyboard (for practice as well). After Wednesday...
Yeah Wednesday! Wish me luck. I am going to give a trial lecture at my English course.
One of my teachers wants to reduce her work-load and asked me if I want to teach English.
I am very exited and terribly nervous, bordering on panic.
At the moment I am taking a break from my preparations.
Okay, back to work...

Usually when you go hunting for pictures of abandoned place you try not to get caught.
This week I stumbled over this amazing place right in the very center of town. It is an old derelict smithy.

When an old man passed me while I was taking a photograph of a barred up window. He asked me not to take a picture of him, for I might damage the camera. I laughed because it is one of the things I always used say if someone tried to take a picture of me.
The he went through that beautiful gate and I followed him and asked him if he knew what had happened to the building?

( Just take a look )

abandonedplaces
Ruins and derelict places have alway drawn me to them. It was, and is as if they have a story to tell. Sometimes I think I catch some fragment of those stories. And from one place I ran in fear, but that is another story.
Trier, the city I live in is one of the oldest, maybe the oldest, in this country. But it is a living, breathing city ever changing, ever growing it has done so for more than 2 thousand years and so sometimes an abandoned place makes way for something new and another abandoned place resurfaces.
One of the strange things here in Germany - combining German and English words...
This is what the place looked like when I came to this town.

Here you can see that I sneaked behind the barrier. The building used to be a bookstore, you can still see where they sold books on law and taxes.

This is the rest of the City Parkhaus. Underneath they found this:

Strangely enough the ruins are medieval not Roman, which makes them quite unusual in this town. ;)
Sorry the pictures aren't very good they were made with my old camera, a pretty crappy thing. My new mobile phone makes better pics...
But i thought you might like those anyway.

I have been thinking what to do with this blog of mine. Well, I have a plan! At least for one day of the week.
Let me introduce the Movie Monday
Maybe you didn't know, but I am part of a movie project called Spare Time Images.
On sundays we meet to work on our current film - Highlander: Turning Tide. So, beginning today I will inform you on the progress of our film. To get you started I thought you might like to watch our latest character teaser.
Yesterday we were talking about organisatorial stuff, dates and such like.
Two of our crew are very busy with their studying this month so we decided to work with the camera and the dolly for the rest of January without them. We, esp. I, have to work on the handling of the camera. For that we don't actually need the actors.
The next upload will be an action reel, it is nearly finished. I will keep you posted.

This morning I got a call, from a friend, *wave* *throw kiss* I don't want to mention her name here because I don't want to cause her trouble. She told me she "Broke into" my file at the ARGE and found out that they are still calculating the money I earned in my old job... That means I am going to get the back money they own me. YAY!
I can breathe again!
Thank you for your support.
The comission offer will remain.
I have a few links you might like.
This one I got from my dear friend

I never thought I would do something like that...
Today I received my monthly payment form the ARGE. It is the last month I get a penalty for quitting my job, but by now I have used up everything I had in reserve.
They gave me 315€!
I need 323€ for my rent alone, and then there is power, telephone, gas and last but not least food.
What to do? I can't just ask for money, not anymore.
So this is what I want to do. I am offering to do commissions.
For a small donation I will draw characters, maps, avatars (animated or not) or creatures - whatever you want.
I can o them as jpgs, pdfs, or gifs. I regret not being able to do anything that is bigger than A4-300dpi or A3-150dpi. Anything bigger and my computer stops working.
I put up a gallery so you can take a look. If you want to see more look here.
So if you are interested send me a mail, leave a comment, skype me or phone me. Tell other people about it. We can talk about details then.
Thank you.
